   With her bright, eccentric and bubbly persona, TESS is changing the game of R&B and Alternative music. With her unique background mixed with classic rock and musical theatre, Tess Herschman (aka “TESS”) strives to develop a musical style that is iconic and leaves her mark on the world. A dreamy sound with powerful harmonies is what TESS strives to achieve in her music; chilling to the listener and not aimed to sound like anybody else. TESS is an undergraduate student studying voice at the renowned Berklee College of Music, receiving training from professional coaches from all across the globe. She has appeared on the album of Boston’s “Medical Maps” where she composed and recorded all of the backing vocals. TESS also has music on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal etc. Her first single, “addiction” was released in June of 2021 to kick off her discography, and has more music on the way. TESS’s next project is planned to be released before the end of 2021, and will showcase her style and soul, with powerful harmonies that will move her listeners.

      Tess Herschman started vocal coaching at the early age of seven years old, along with dance, theatre and acting classes. She was born in Massachusetts, but spent some of her childhood in Washington, where she actually began her musical training. Coming from a musical background from her father, who attended Frost School of Music in Miami, she was raised on classic rock and alternative music. She started performing gigs where she would cover classic rock songs at eleven years old, playing with her Uncle Ethan’s bands at Boston bars/pubs. Although, the majority of TESS’s youth was spent under musical theatre and classical training, as she became passionate about musical theatre and dance. She participated in all of her high school’s musicals and performances, and proceeded to further explore her musical career in college. Her musical influences were always Joan Jett, Freddie Mercury, Frank Ocean, SZA, Ari Lennox and plenty more. She is inspired by strong performers and artists that are undeniably themselves, most of these artists have signature things that are iconic in the music world. TESS hopes to encapsulate the hardships of her life into her songs: heartbreak, abandonment, mental health and make light of her persistent darkness she endures. Music is what has always gotten TESS through anything, and her lyrics are blunt but intense, carrying messages that display her heart and soul.
